education
I’m currently completing my Master of Arts in English Philology and Film Studies, after earning a Bachelor’s degree in Media Studies and Social Sciences. My academic work revolves around literature, film, media, and cultural analysis—fields that continue to fascinate me because they constantly reveal new ways of looking at the world.
I’m drawn to the layers beneath a text or image: the things that remain unsaid, the contradictions, the symbols, and the contexts that shape meaning. Most of my work explores modern and postmodern literature, film, and visual culture. Recent research projects include an analysis of Walt Whitman’s Eidólons for a literature seminar, which received excellent feedback, and my master’s thesis on constructions of masculinity in David Lynch’s Twin Peaks, for which I am currently awaiting evaluation.
Research has taught me far more than how to write academic papers. It has taught me how to ask better questions, navigate large amounts of information, recognize patterns, develop arguments, and communicate complex ideas clearly. i genuinely enjoy getting lost in a niche topic, following every lead, and understanding it from different perspectives. Just as much, I enjoy helping others through that process—whether that’s developing an argument, improving a paper, or simply getting unstuck.

Alongside my studies, I’ve worked in communications for an educational and cultural organization for more than three and a half years. What began as an internship quickly developed into managing the organization’s entire communications area. My work ranged from website development and maintenance, newsletters and email campaigns, blog writing, and social media management to strategic planning and execution of Google and Meta advertising campaigns. I also organized photo and video productions, handled editing and post-production, designed printed materials, developed new communication concepts, and collaborated across departments to support the organization’s growth.
Working in education was particularly meaningful to me. Being surrounded by teachers, students, and families reinforced how much thoughtful communication can shape learning, curiosity, and opportunity.
Before that, I worked in a variety of part-time jobs—from catering at the Marriott Hotel and conducting market research for the hospitality industry to seasonal work packing Christmas gifts. While those positions were very different from what I do today, they taught me adaptability, reliability, teamwork, and how to connect with people from very different backgrounds. Looking back, each experience contributed something valuable.

Outside of work and university, I spend much of my time creating. Dance has been a constant for many years, but I’m equally interested in photography, film, visual art, writing, music, and organizing creative events. Through my work with the Magla crew, I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with artists and creatives from different disciplines and cultures, something I find endlessly inspiring.
I enjoy working independently because I love immersing myself completely in a project, but I equally appreciate strong teams. When people share a common vision and genuinely challenge each other, collaboration becomes one of the most rewarding parts of the creative process.
If I had to describe myself in one sentence, I’d say I’m someone who is driven by curiosity and enjoys helping others bring ideas to life. I’m analytical by nature, but equally creative. I like understanding how things work, whether that’s a literary text, a communication strategy, or a visual concept, and I’m happiest when I can turn that understanding into something meaningful.

When I’m not working or studying, you’ll probably find me at the gym, out running, or walking through the forest. Nature has always been my way of slowing down and resetting. As much as I love technology, design, and digital media, I believe the best ideas often come after stepping away from the screen for a while.
I was born and raised in Zurich, Switzerland, and grew up in a multilingual household with Balkan roots. Serbian was my first language, followed by German, English, French, and Spanish. I continue to spend a significant amount of time in Bosnia and Serbia—especially Belgrade—which has given me a strong appreciation for different cultures, perspectives, and ways of thinking. That curiosity continues to shape both my work and the way I approach the world.
